Richard König is co-founder, shareholder and CEO of Enery, an independent renewable power producer focused on Austria and CEE. Enery is a purpose-driven company with an aim to provide affordable, reliable, clean and sustainable electricity to industrial customers and households in the
region.

Enery is active in solar, wind, hydro, battery storage and electricity trading and contributes to development of local communities and helps with the ecological transition of the region. It’s mission is to supply competitive green electricity to the European industry.

Before founding Enery in 2019, Richard led the growth and renewable transformation of ContourGlobal, an American IPP. Before that, after studying Economics and Business at Graz
University, he worked in renewable energy investment banking in London, Amsterdam and CEE.

Next to Enery, Richard is shareholder in other companies in the energy, agriculture and sports business. He is passionate about supporting local communities in CEE with social projects and has executed more than 15 of such initiatives over the last years.
