Geoff Gottlieb

Geoff Gottlieb is the International Monetary Fund’s Senior Regional Representative for the Office for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, headquartered in Warsaw, Poland. His previous positions at the IMF include Mission Chief for Mongolia and Myanmar and Senior Economist on China and Greece. Prior to joining the IMF in 2009, Mr. Gottlieb held positions at Fortress Investment Group (EMEA and LATAM Strategist), Goldman Sachs (LATAM economics), the Earth Institute at Colombia University (Lead economist, Millennium Villages) and the U.S. Department of Treasury (lead economist for Brazil, Nigeria). He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Brown University and an M.Sc. in Economics from University College Dublin.
