Francis Malige

Francis Malige is Managing Director, Head of the Financial Institutions Group at the EBRD,
overseeing investments in 42 economies. He led the EBRD's financial-sector response to the
Covid-19 crisis and the war on Ukraine, implementing vital initiatives. Prior to this, he served
in various roles at the Bank, including Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the
Caucasus, based in Kyiv. Before joining the EBRD, Mr Malige was Managing Director for
Corporate Development at BNP Paribas. He previously worked with Arthur Andersen and
McKinsey. An ESCP Europe graduate, he is a frequent newspaper contributor.
