Francis Malige

Mr Francis Malige is the Managing Director, Head of Financial Institutions Business Group at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), leading investments across 36 economies. He navigated the EBRD's financial sector response to the COVID crisis and the war on Ukraine, implementing vital responses. Prior to this, he served in various roles at the EBRD, including Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus based in Kyiv. Before EBRD, Francis was Managing Director for Corporate Development at BNP Paribas, and previously worked with Arthur Andersen and McKinsey. An ESCP Europe graduate and a French citizen, Mr Malige speaks English, German and Italian. He frequently contributes to various newspapers.
