Delina Ibrahimaj

Minister of Economy and Innovation, Government of Albania

Ms. Delina Ibrahimaj holds the position of Minister of Economy and Innovation as of September
2025.

Prior to this appointment, she held the position of Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and

Business Climate, beginning in September 2023.

Earlier, Ms. Ibrahimaj served as Minister of Finance and Economy.

In November 2012, she was awarded a Doctorate (PhD) in Banking and Finance from the “Tor Vergata” University in Rome, Italy.

In December 2009, she obtained a Master of Science degree in General Management from “Luigi Bocconi” University in Milan, Italy, where she had previously obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Management and International Economics.

In 2016 and subsequently, Ms. Ibrahimaj served as a member of the Statistics Council (INSTAT).

In 2017 and thereafter, she was a member of the Governing Council of FED Invest and also of the Social Insurance Institute.

From 2019 onwards, she was the General Director of Taxes.

Prior to this, from 2016 to 2019, she held the position of General Director of the Institute of

Statistics and was coordinator for Financial and Economic Affairs, also serving as a member of the operational room at the Prime Minister’ Office during 2015-2016.

Before these positions, she was an economist at the Bank of Albania from 2011 to 2015 and a

Senior Financial Officer, as well as a Board member near Tirana Ekspres. Between 2007 and 2010, she was General Manager of Urban Distribution, ltd. and from 2005 to 2007 was Manager of the Albanian Distribution Association ltd. in Tirana, Albania.
