Borislav Kostadinov is an accomplished banking expert with over 20 years’ experience in the financial industry initially starting as a Loan Officer. He heads The Green for Growth Fund as of January 2021. Borislav has 15 years of leadership at CEO and Board level across Germany and Eastern European emerging markets of the ProCredit Banking group (FSE listed and supervised by BaFin & Bundesbank). He has held group-wide responsibilities for credit risk, guided the implementation of the German Ma-Risk standards across subsidiaries and has gained experience in areas of increasingly high profile such as AML, regulatory compliance, and disclosure standards. He initiated and led the ground-breaking green finance strategy of the group which was integrated successfully in less than 5 years in its business model. He has been a member of 9 Board of Directors (Chaired 5) of the group’s subsidiaries across Eastern European and African emerging markets. He oversaw the group’s successful listing on the FSE (Prime Standard) and the subsequent oversubscribed capital raise (2018) as well as a successful placement of its pioneering Green Bond in 2019. During his tenure, the group received Euromoney’s CEE's best bank for SMEs award in 2018. Now as a Fund Director for the GGF, Borislav’s vision is to help create a lasting impact on a much larger scale. He holds an MBA degree from Sofia University.
