Alessandro Garelli is the Head of the Securitisation Unit within the Legal Department at the European Investment Fund (EIF). In this role, he manages a wide range of structured finance products, with a particular emphasis on synthetic and true sale securitisation transactions across all EU jurisdictions.

An Italian-qualified lawyer, Alessandro built substantial experience in banking and finance during his years with major law firms in Italy before joining the EIF. Beyond his professional responsibilities, he is author of articles published on legal journals on topics such as banking and finance regulation. His dedication to academic research is further reflected in his ongoing Ph.D. studies at Rome University, where he continues to advance his research in legal studies.
